The Earls of Leicester

The Earls of Leicester formed in 2013 to preserve and promote the legacy of bluegrass legends Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. The Nashville-based six-piece of Jerry Douglas, Shawn Camp, Jeff White, Charlie Cushman, Johnny Warren, and Barry Bales won a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album within a year of its self-titled debut along with six awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association. The band's music recreates the catalog of Flatt and Scruggs’s Foggy Mountain Boys with an easy warmth that honors traditional bluegrass and gives songs from over a half-century ago a fresh vitality.
