Puuluup at MIM

Estonian musicians Ramo Teder and Marko Veisson formed Puuluup in 2014. The duo plays original compositions on the hiiu kannel and directs the vibrations of its horsehair strings through effects pedals and loopers. Puuluup pairs the instrument’s natural mellow sounds with electronically amplified echoes, knocks, creaks, and crackles while sometimes creating its own language.
